This is a format MUP has developed to publish academic work of outstanding merit that makes a significant contribution to its field, is likely to have an international audience but may not necessarily have a large commercial audience. Miegunyah Press

Books published into the Miegunyah list have a strong Australian focus and are important to Australia's scholarly and cultural fabric. The Miegunyah list has strengths in Australian history, maritime history, art, biography, architecture and garden history. Books published under this imprint meet the highest standards of printing and production, and are often illustrated.

The imprint was established as a result of a bequest from Sir Russell and Lady Grimwade. Sir Russell Grimwade, businessman and philanthropist, was a passionate collector of Australiana books and paintings.

MUP is actively seeking to develop a 'born-digital' electronic list of publications such as CD-ROMs, DVDs, web publishing projects etc.
