Senator Penny Wong in conversation with Gareth Evans at Dymocks Adelaide

Join us on the evening of Tuesday 31 October as Gareth Evans discusses his new memoir Incorrigible Optimist.

Gareth was a central figure in Australian politics for 20 years, described by former PM Bob Hawke as having 'the most acute mind' of any of his ministers. He has been recognised internationally for his contribution as Foreign Minister in conflict resolution, genocide prevention and curbing the use of weapons of mass destruction.

In Incorrigible Optimist, Gareth looks back over his life in Australian politics, but also his beginnings as a student activist, civil libertarian, industry minister, international policymaker and educator. Most importantly, he explains why he continues to believe that a safe, saner and more decent world is achievable.

Incorrigible Optimist will be available on the night and a book signing will take place after the presentation.

Tickets are $7.50, please book here.

Light refreshments will be provided.
