Robin Boyd Foundation presents Design Matters: Frances Burke, Designer of Modern Textiles

Frances Burke’s (1904–1994) bold prints offering vibrant colours and distinct patterns found a following among the leading architects, interior and furniture designers of 1940s and 50s, including Robin Boyd, Roy Grounds, Marion Hall Best, Grant Featherston and Clement Meadmore.

Authors of ‘Frances Burke: Designer of modern textiles’, Nanette Carter and Robyn Oswald-Jacobs, join the Robin Boyd Foundation at Walsh Street to share Burke’s legacy as a textile designer, manufacturer, retailer, businesswoman and design ambassador.
